our collaborative process
1. Consultation
We will work with you to identify all needs and objectives for your project, including the specific function(s) of the space, who will be using it, and all furniture and equipment requirements. For a renovation, existing measurements, photos, and floor plans (if applicable) will be handled during this time. All necessary information will be confirmed before starting the schematic design process.
2. Schematic Design
Our interior designers will develop the space planning, furniture layouts, and colour palettes. In this phase, circulation patterns and clearances are considered and applied to the floor plan.
3. Design Development
After final approval of the schematic design, we will develop floor plans, elevations, and other related items in greater detail. Colours and finishes are refined, furniture, fabrics, and equipment are selected, and cost estimates are prepared. The resulting design is presented for review, revision, and approval.
4. Specifications & Drawings
Once the design concept is complete, we’ll begin working to assemble specifications and schedules that provide clear instructions to the architect and builder. We then present you with additional materials to support our schemes through presentations that include interior renderings and 3D models.
5. Order & Installation
We provide cohesive coordination with showrooms and vendors, from purchasing to the installation. We oversee the placement of rugs, furniture, window treatments, art, and accessories. Our involvement continues even after the installation, as we always work to accommodate our clients’ ongoing needs.
